Essays and Updates

Long-form investigations, source notes, methodological critiques, project changes, and responses to readers.

Editorial Archive

Purpose

The essay archive documents how the project’s ideas evolve. Posts should show their author, date, reading time, evidence classification, sources, and revision history.

Approach

Essays may explore speculative connections, but their evidence status remains visible at the card and article level. Corrections are appended rather than silently erased.

Publication rule: an intriguing interpretation may be published as analysis; it may not be relabeled as evidence through repetition.

Standards

  • Lead with the research question.
  • Link original sources wherever possible.
  • Quote briefly and in context.
  • Separate reporting from inference.
  • Invite substantive correction.

Limits and open work

The initial cards are editorial outlines, not completed sourced essays.

[ESSAYS IN PREPARATION] Publication dates and author bylines will appear when drafts are complete.
Critical review

What could change this page?

New primary evidence, a stronger alternative explanation, or a citation correction may change an essay’s classification.

Next steps

Publish the methodology essay first, followed by a source-led climate chronology primer.
